Changes to COVID restriction requirements - 29 April 2022

The latest update to the WA Government's COVID restrictions will note the following changes to your first aid training requirements:

  • Face Masks - no longer mandatory but you are welcome to wear one at your own discretion
  • Proof of vaccination - no longer required to enter a training venue
  • Close contact isolation requirement - no longer required to isolate if you have no symptoms but must adhere to daily RAT testing and wearing of a mask during training

The trainer will ask all students these questions on the day of the course. If your response is yes to any of the above you will not be admitted to the class and will need to phone our call centre to reschedule your training. We may also take your temperature.

Some processes will remain

  • Room capacity - although capacity limits have been removed, St John WA will continue to impose a 4sqm per person capacity limit for courses
  • Screening questions - will continue to be asked to ensure a safe training environment is provided for all participants
  • Simulating breaths during your CPR assessment - simulated breathing to remain in place.

Help us help your family.

By using our clinics for general medical check-ups or dentist appointments, and our urgent care centres for non-life threatening emergencies, you'll help St John as well as your family. We assisted 269,537 people at our centres & clinics last year alone.

We even have a handy Emergency Room time feature available on the First Responder App that helps you to locate the nearest medical centres and emergency departments including live ED waiting time information.
