National Volunteer Week May 17 - 23

St. John Albany-77

How could an emergency ambulance organisation respond to the urgent needs of people living in the biggest state of Australia without volunteers?

The short answer is, it couldn’t.

For National Volunteer Week, St John WA is taking the time to acknowledge our tireless team of dedicated vollies and saying “thank you” to those who put the needs of their community before their own.

Through fires and floods, cyclones and snake bites, St John’s more than 11,300 volunteers can be found from WA’s Great Southern region, into the remote Goldfields and the vast outer reaches of the Kimberley, as well as throughout the metropolitan area.
Without these key contributors, many West Australian towns would be without access to emergency ambulance services.

There is no doubt St John WA volunteers go above and beyond in the commitment to the service of humanity.

They are living proof that teamwork makes the dream work.
