Meet the Executive Team
Kevin DF Brown MBA, MSc, BEng(Hons), CEng, FIET, FAIM, GAICD
Group Chief Executive Officer
Kevin joined St John WA as its first Group Chief Executive Officer in January 2023. His appointment will focus on high quality care and services being delivered.
Kevin brings more than 20 years’ experience in corporate, operational and commercial roles in airports across Australia and the United Kingdom. During that time, Kevin led a complex range of operations across 24/7 environment, most recently at the Perth Airport as Chief Executive Officer. Kevin led the Perth Airport team for more than six years, overseeing significant growth during his tenure, ensuring that runways and terminals remained operational through the COVID-19 pandemic, with great benefit of WA and Australia.
Kevin has a strong reputation of leadership, growth strategy and driving transformational change while at the same time demonstrating positive culture development. He will bring his wealth of experience to further develop all of St John WA’s services.
Kevin’s experience extends to prior Board roles within Tourism Western Australia, Australian Institute of Management in Western Australia (AIM WA) and Committee for Perth. He is a current St John Event Health Services Volunteer, General Council Member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia, and a Practitioner Fellow for the University of Western Australia’s Public Policy Institute.
Megan O'Donnell
Chief Preventative Officer
Megan has over 20 years’ experience as a strategic thinker and executive leader, working with large corporates and organisations on company purpose and values, business and digital transformation and customer experience and engagement programs.Megan has recently returned to WA with her family. She feels very privileged to be joining the team at St John WA and is excited about the potential for St John WA to play an even greater role in preventing major health and wellbeing issues and enhancing the overall wellbeing of the WA community.
On a personal note, Megan loves her morning coffee, hanging out with her husband and two kids, travelling (particularly anywhere in Italy) and binge-watching Succession. She is also a Sydney Swans supporter (but let's not hold that against her).
Darren Webb
Chief Community Officer
With more than 20 years' experience in executive health management, Darren is responsible for overseeing the delivery of St John WA's Primary Health services within the rapidly changing and challenged, health care system.Through his role, Darren demonstrates leadership and adaptability, leveraging his strategic thinking and extensive knowledge to develop and implement initiatives that improve quality service delivery and drive growth in St John WA's Primary Health unit.
Across his career, Darren has held senior operational, general management and CEO positions across both public and not-for-profit sectors including positions at Symbion Health, Healthscope Pty Ltd and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Martyn Jenkins
Chief Finance Officer
Martyn has an extensive background in finance, having led large, diverse teams in various industries, countries, and corporate structures for over two decades, with the last ten years dedicated to senior executive roles.He is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Martyn is also a non-executive director of Huntington's Australia, a not-for-profit helping those in the community affected by Huntington's Disease.
Martyn's spare time is all about family – being with his wife, children and grandchildren are his passion; then comes his love of music and his two Old English Sheepdogs.
Brendon Brodie-Hall
Chief Emergency Officer
Brendon is a values-based leader, placing culture and Work Health Safety at the forefront of everything he does.He has a proven track record of delivering complex logistical operations with large, geographically dispersed workforces and over 15 years of experience in 24/7 environments.
Brendon brings with him a wealth of expertise: He holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration and joins us from a senior leadership role at one of the world's biggest mining companies, Rio Tinto.
Rene Anderson 
Chief People Officer
Rene is a seasoned HR professional with over 20 years’ experience leading teams and implementing performance driven people strategies across diverse sectors including emergency services, mining, and government. Holding a Masters in Human Resource Management from Murdoch University, she specialises in Industrial and Employee Relations, emphasizing dispute resolution, mediation, and negotiation.
Passionate about fostering positive workplaces, Rene believes in aligning capabilities with organisational objectives to create supportive environments where individuals and teams thrive and achievements are celebrated. It’s important to Rene that everyone has a voice and reflecting that commitment through effective People and Culture practices.
Describing herself as practical, genuine, and optimistic yet realistic, Rene enjoys helping people navigate challenges and conflicts.
