The Wheatbelt spans across 154,862 square kilometres in the south west of Western Australia and has five subregions: Avon, Central Coast, Central East, Central Midlands and Wheatbelt South.
With a population of 75,000, the Wheatbelt is the third most populous region in the State. This population is highly dispersed with over 200 towns and settlements spread across 155,256 square kilometres.

The South West is located in the south-western corner of Australia and covers an area of nearly 24,000 square kilometres. Western Australia's most popular tourist destination,
the South West boasts a unique biodiversity hotspot which includes a rich and varied natural environment. St John has 23 sub-centres in this region.
The Great Southern region is located on the south coast of Western Australia, adjoining the Southern Ocean, where the coast extends for approximately 250 kilometres.
Bounded by the South West region on the west and Wheatbelt region to the north, the total land area of 39,007 square kilometres represents
approximately 1.5 per cent of the state's total area. St John has 22 sub-centres in this region.
The Goldfields-Esperance area is located in the south-eastern corner of Western Australia and is the largest region in the state with a land area of 771,276 square kilometres.
The region is three times the size of the state of Victoria and just under a third of Western Australia's total land mass.
